Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic team defeated Hearts 4-1 at Tynecastle on Sunday, with Matt O’Riley scoring his team’s sixth goal of the year.

Trevor Sinclair, who is a huge Celtic fan, and Gustaf Lagerbielke were both impressed by their ever-improving comrade yesterday despite the latter’s absence from the team.

In his Instagram reaction to the victory, Matt O’Riley congratulated Tomoki Iwata on his maiden goal, saying that he was the icing on the cake as a substitute.

Matt O’Riley, 22, received the moniker “baller” from Gustaf Lagerbielke in the Instagram post’s comments area.

As the supporters showered the player with plaudits for yet another outstanding performance, Joe Hart also responded by tweeting the player a fire emoji.

Matt O’Riley, who was called up to the Denmark senior squad last week, has had an incredible week. He is still leading Celtic.

The player himself merits a great deal of praise since, under Brendan Rodgers, he has improved upon his performances from the previous campaign.

Reo Hatate can miss a penalty kick and the squad still wins with four goals since the goals are coming in so quickly.

While many predicted that the Bhoys would win the three points at Tynecastle, others thought it would be a more difficult test, which was by no means the case.

And in what is shaping up to be the biggest week of the season thus far, it’s a huge tick in the box.

It goes on when Atletico Madrid, the Spanish powerhouse, travels to Glasgow for a crucial Champions League match.

Given how the team is playing in the last third, the first three points must be recorded as quickly as possible. There are no good reasons not to put those points on the scoresheet.
