Every Tuesday, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers appears on The Pat McAfee Shows. Every time he appears on television, he never fails to make headlines, and you never know what he will say or discuss.
On the episode, Pat questioned Rodgers about how “loud” it was in Green Bay, among other things. In response to that query, Aaron Rodgers stated:
“Some of this stuff is so ridiculous that you have to be able to laugh at it. The overreactions and generalisations are absurd.”
The fan base normally reacts in an absurd way when a team struggles to win games, as the Packers have done this season. Green Bay is 2-4 on the season and has lost its last three games. This weekend, the Packers take on the 3-4 Minnesota Vikings in an attempt to climb back in the win column.
A few weeks prior, Rodgers spoke on the show to discuss quarterback Jordan Love and the need for the fan base to be patient with him in spite of his difficulties. The Packers aren’t even considering trading him, despite some supporters’ wishes to do so by the NFL trade deadline of October 31.
Green Bay also desires the dismissal of defensive coordinator Joe Barry and general manager Brian Gutekunst. That’s a different topic for an other day, but that is
far more likely to occur should the Packers’ bad luck carry over into the 2023 campaign. Since they are still a relatively young football team, there are some things they need to wait on. This football team’s season has also been derailed by a number of important player injuries.
Despite spending three seasons as Aaron Rodgers’ backup, Love is making his debut as a full-time starter this season. There will be more infuriated and irate Green Bay Packers supporters if they lose. Rodgers’ reference of the Packers on the Pat McAfee show won’t be the last this season. The Packers’ situation will only become worse if they fall short against the Vikings this weekend.
