Diego Costa was taken off the pitch on a stretcher against Tottenham Hotspur, although his injury was not as serious as it appeared.
That’s according to Express & Star columnist Liam Keen, who was interviewed today on the publication’s podcast.
Fans have been waiting for news on Costa, who collapsed awkwardly when challenging Oliver Skipp for a header.
The 34-year-old had extensive treatment before it was determined that he could not continue. Raul Jimenez took his position and delivered an amazing performance.Costa appeared depressed as he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher, causing fans to believe he had done something severe.
Julen Lopetegui will likely give an update on where Costa is at on Friday at his press conference.
But journalist Keen has today spoken about Costa, and has suggested it could be good news. Or at least better news than many expected seeing the ace leave the field.
We have seen recently that he can still have an impact for Wanderers.
He may not have scored yet, but his cameo against Southampton help Wolves win that game.
