The Rangers CEO James Bisgrove was informed by Celtic legend John Hartson that “we have heard the same” from the Ibrox club subsequent to Philippe Clement’s appointment.
Barry Ferguson lauded two Bhoys players. The veteran striker reminded Rangers that they are up against a “juggernaut” in Celtic, who are winning the Treble under Ange Postecoglou and are currently playing well under Brendan Rodgers.
John Hartson, however, was not having any of James Bisgrove’s assertions that they had “done their due diligence” (Glasgow Times) over the appointment of Philippe Clement.
The former Wales international told Go Radio, “Look how that ended up for them. The same was said about Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Michael Beale.”
Not too long ago, people in Glasgow were doubting Ange Postecoglou. Well, that conversation immediately subsided as he signed his name to Celtic’s storied novels.

There was a lot of buzz following a summer of investment by Rangers, even with Michael Beale leading the team. However, fast forward to the present, and Celtic leads the league by seven points.
In terms of the Scottish Premiership, Hartson stated, “They are up against a juggernaut in Celtic, on a crest of a wave, good players and they are going to add more good players.”
“What Mr. Bisgrove mentioned earlier. Regarding Giovanni van Bronckhorst, we have heard the same thing. “We have carried out our thorough investigation and believe he is the ideal candidate for the position,” Michael Beale said. It seems that he declined Wolves. We supported him and purchased ten players while he was in charge. The manager is saying the same thing when we get behind them.
“I would say this. I’m not even close to writing Philippe Clement off. However, he needs to defeat Celtic and play incredibly well at football.
“The Rangers fans will be thrilled if he doesn’t, as Beale and Giovanni van Bronckhorst attempted. Fantastic, a fresh man has entered the building. They will support him.
However, they won’t support him unless you triumph in Glasgow. Saying “we have a long-term plan” is not acceptable. You only have a long-term plan when you are truly succeeding and winning at the club.
With a match against Hearts on Sunday, Rodgers and his team will have a difficult first game back. The Celtic manager was eager to discuss the small amount of away tickets distributed for the trip to Tynecastle.
In any case, it’s another opportunity for this steadily getting better Celtic team to continue their winning streak and silence any dissent from Ibrox.
With important players like Cameron Carter-Vickers back before the international break, the squad has done a good job of focusing on itself and overcoming any internal problems, including injuries.
