On the final day of the transfer window in the summer, Nottingham Forest attempted to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah. The player was wanted, and the City Ground may still be keeping an eye on him.

Bayern Munich expressed interest in the 24-year-old during the summer. When that deal fell through, Forest stepped forward with a £25 million offer, which Chelsea accepted before the deadline.

but didn’t want to go to Forest. He made the decision to remain and contend for a spot at Stamford Bridge, but when the window opens again, he’ll almost definitely be permitted to leave the Blues.

Forest is still interested in Chalobah.
90Min is the source of this information. They think Steve Cooper is a major fan of David Chalobah and will be keenly watching the Chalobah issue in January.

Chalobah, who is a target for Forest, has dropped significantly in Chelsea’s hierarchy. The player, who earns £50,000 a week, progressed through the Chelsea senior team levels at Stamford Bridge and has made 63 appearances for the Blues.

Now, the player will be keeping track of the remaining days till January. It will be interesting to see where he goes when the window reopens because he will be itching to get outside and play some football.

At center-back, Forest would have to make some adjustments.
When needed, Chelsea’s Chalobah has proven to be a highly valuable player for the team. He is a target for Forest. Rio Ferdinand praised the footballer who generally plays centre defence and dubbed him “unbelievable” back in 2019.

It’s reasonable to say that if any centre back signs, two players may leave the team. Next summer, when their contracts expire, Scott McKenna and Felipe will both be free to leave.

Gamble to sell Kurt Zouma and replace him with Trevoh Chalobah has paid off, says Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel

Willy Boly’s contract expires in the summer, but his early-season play suggests that he is currently untouchable. Murillo has had a strong start to life at Forest.

Even though he’s having trouble getting into games, Joe Worrall is still the team captain. On the day of the transfer deadline, Andrew Omobamidele was also signed, and he appears to have promise.

Given the struggle for spots, signing Chalobah would be interesting. But if Cooper is interested in him, maybe the club’s hiring staff will pursue him once more in January.
