THE CAPTAIN OF NOTTINGHAM FOREST CLEARING AND SOCKING MASSAGE

The challenge for the Reds this season is to ensure that they progress in the division. First and foremost, however, Forest will want to make sure they don’t get embroiled in a relegation scrap.

The Reds have had some good performances this season. There have, however, been some moments where the players will feel they might have done better.

With the second international break of the campaign upon us, we’ve looked at the five Forest players who have committed the most fouls so far during the current season, according to Who Scored.

Not a massive surprise considering the left-back often finds himself up against top-class wingers on a regular basis. Aina does, however, look like a solid signing and he will have a lot to offer this season.

Morgan Gibbs-White (6) is ranked fourth.

A unexpected entry is Gibbs-White, who has committed the same number of fouls as Aina while playing as a number 10. This season, the 23-year-old has appeared in every game and has earned his fair share of fouls.

Willy Boly (10) is ranked third.

So far in 2023/24, he is arguably Forest’s Player of the Year. Boly has been in excellent form and is at the top of his game in several areas. Given that he’s now 32 years old, we’ll forgive him for the fact that he’s already committed 10 fouls this season.

Orel Mangala (10) is ranked second.

The Belgian international is another possible surprise in the top five. He’s played more than some might have imagined this season, and he’s committed double digits in fouls.

Ryan Yates (12) is ranked first.

This is probably not a surprise. Yates, as good as he has been for the Reds over the previous two years, can still be inconsistent in the tackle. As a result, despite only appearing in six games this season, he has already committed 12 fouls.
