Gary O’Neil has tonight been speaking about Hwang Hee-chan on talkSPORT – and piled the praise on the South Korea international.
Hwang has been one of the real success stories at Molineux this season.
The 27-year-old has really found his goalscoring touch this season.
He already has five in the Premier League, and a further goal in the Carabao Cup.
He in particular has reacted very positively to the arrival of Gary O’Neil just before the start of the new season.
Hwang waxed lyrical about his manager after his latest goal against Aston Villa.

He’s pleased with the club’s points haul after eight games, considering how tough the fixture list has been.
And at one point, he was asked about Hwang.
He said: “He’s excellent. He’s really intelligent. He understands everything we ask of him. So tactically he’s very very good. Defensively without the ball, really good. A real good understanding of the role we want him to play. It really suits him. He understands that Pedro Neto is going to get a lot of joy down the other side with his pace so, his arriving in the box every time Pedro gets the ball is excellent.
“We keep trying to improve the boys’ understanding of arriving in the box with numbers, when the ball is going to arrive, stuff he was already exceptional at. But yeah him and Pedro Neto have both been huge pluses since I’ve walked in. Both fully committed, work their socks off. Both really talented.”
