Everton is one of England’s biggest clubs, although the Toffees have struggled for a ……

It was not easy for Everton last season to escape the dreaded drop to the Championship.

And, I think that it is going to be tough for the Toffees again this season.

In my view, Everton are going to be among the clubs fighting for survival in the Premier League in the final weeks of the season.

Today, though, things do look a bit brighter.

After all, Everton won today.

The Toffees got the better of Bournemouth 3-0 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Everton were 1-0 up after just eight minutes when James Garner scored.

Jack Harrison, on loan from Leeds United, made it 2-0 to Sean Dyche’s side in the 37th minute.

And then on the hour mark, Abdoulaye Doucoure wrapped up the points for Everton with the Merseyside club’s third goal.

While Everton looked good for the win at half time, not all fans at Goodison Park were confident.

BBC Sport journalist Steven Wyeth was at Goodison Park, and he spoke to some fans at half time.

Wyeth noted on BBC Sport: “Just asked the Everton fans sat behind the gantry why they’re not more jubilant to be 2-0 up.

“A combination of ‘it’s just such unfamiliar territory’ and ‘we’ve been disappointed too often’ the explanations offered.

“The realities of football fandom!”

Everton fans have had some tough times in recent times.

Things are not particularly great at the moment, but I believe that Everton fans need to stay positive and be optimistic about the future.

Results will be good and bad in the coming weeks and months.

If the takeover gets approved, then there could be investment in the squad.

I am sure that Everton will not get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

Sean Dyche is a very good and capable manager, and I believe that he will make sure that Everton finish above the bottom three in the Premier League table this season.
