With Man United’s loss to Galatasaray on Tuesday, they are off to their worst season-opening start in 39 years, and pressure is mounting on Ten Hag.

Following a poor run of results, Brentford manager Thomas Frank isn’t sure if it’s a good idea to play Manchester United right now.

The 3-2 Champions League loss to Galatasaray on Tuesday marked United’s sixth defeat in 10 games this season in all competitions, marking their worst start to a season in 39 years. Rasmus Hojlund gave the Reds the lead twice at Old Trafford, but they managed to give up three preventable goals and now have a difficult road out of Group A.

With injuries mounting and inconsistent play throughout the team, Erik ten Hag’s side welcomes Brentford to M16 on Saturday. Frank is aware that United may be under more pressure to succeed, but he also understands the difficulties his team will face when they visit a venue where they haven’t triumphed since February 1937.

The other side, according to Frank, is that they must recover and rush forward to use all of their resources to defeat us. “There will be pressure to defeat Brentford, but Man United is a huge club; pressure to win every game is present.

The fact that they haven’t played all that well doesn’t seem to matter. When you encounter a squad in excellent form and with a lot of momentum, I always wonder if it’s awful or if that streak will continue.

With only one Premier League victory this season, Brentford is currently experiencing their own losing streak. Despite being down to 10 men for 35 minutes on Sunday, Steve Cooper’s team still managed to defeat Nottingham Forest, dropping Frank’s team to 14th place in the standings.

They continue to be without Ivan Toney, who admitted to breaking 232 of the FA’s betting rules and is presently serving an eight-month suspension. Rico Henry and Kevin Schade will not be playing for the London team. Mikkel Damsgaard, Shandon Baptiste, Josh Dasilva, and Ben Mee will accompany you to Old Trafford.

After an outstanding debut season as Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag’s team is back in the Champions League.
