In Sunday’s victory over Gold Coast, the two garnered nominations.
Following Sunday’s win over Gold Coast at Unley Oval, Adelaide forwards Eloise Jones and Caitlin Gould were nominated for Mark and Goal of the Year, respectively.
Jones, who won mark of the week last week, followed up her performance in Round Five with another stunning grab against the Suns.
Isolated in a one-on-one struggle deep in the Crows’ forward 50, the 23-year-old engaged her opponent before deftly extending her arm and bringing in a one-handed mark.
Jones had another outstanding day, scoring two goals and grabbing four rebounds as a focal point in Adelaide’s assault.
Gould was recognized for an outstanding individual performance in the first term.
After scoring the first goal and setting up the second, the crucial forward was thrust back into the action as the ball fell 25 metres from the Crows goal.
She picked up the ball cleanly and spun onto her right boot to shoot before being met by a Suns defender, whom she deftly avoided.
The 24-year-old then demonstrated her talent with a flawless finish on the outside of the boot.
Vote here for Jones and here for Gould.
Round 5 voting ends on Thursday, October 5 at 9.30 a.m. (ACDT).
