The Milwaukee Bucks shocked the NBA by trading for seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard earlier this week.

The Bucks had to give up their 2029 first-round NBA Draught pick, Grayson Allen, and Jrue Holiday in order to acquire Lillard.

Losing Holiday was by far the most difficult aspect of the move to accept. However, in order to obtain a great player, sacrifices must be made.

This season, the Bucks will find out how significant the sacrifice was. The Portland Trailblazers chose to trade Holiday to the Boston Celtics rather than keep him.

The picks have not yet been revealed. Before the 2020-21 NBA season, the Bucks acquired Holiday for multiple first-round selections and Eric Bledsoe.

That was, of course, the year the Bucks won the NBA title.

The Boston Celtics Will Be Hard to Beat

In previous seasons, the Bucks and Celtics have had numerous hard-fought postseason fights. Adding Holiday to the tandem of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, not to mention Kristaps Porzingis, makes Boston the toughest challenge for Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference, at least on paper.
