Alan Shearer praised Wolverhampton Wanderers’ performance against Premier League leaders Manchester City this afternoon at Molineux.
Wolves handed City their first league defeat, thanks to Ruben Dias’ own goal. Julian Alvarez gave the visitors hope of a comeback, but it all fell apart.
Meanwhile, city star Erling Haaland remained silent throughout. “Although Man City had a lot of possession, efforts on goal, and pressure, Wolves didn’t half defend well,” Shearer stated on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“Haaland was kept quiet which is unusual, [Craig] Dawson did a great job on him. The result wasn’t a fluke, they worked very hard for it and got the reward.
