Jarvis is a product of Brighton & Hove Albion’s academy system and she has played for the club at first-team level. The teenager made her Barclays Women’s Super League debut for the Seagulls last season in an 8-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Broadfield Stadium.

The midfielder needs regular playing time to mature and Brighton & Hove Albion have allowed the player to go out on loan this season.

After adding Jarvis to his squad, Reading coach Liam Gilbert said: “He is an exceptionally talented individual with huge potential. Leaving permanently in 2021, the goalkeeper made five appearances in the Dutch top flight for RKC Waalewijk. He joined David Button and Coniah Boyce-Clarke in the first team goalkeeper league, with Dean Bouzanis on loan at former club Sutton United.
