Emi Buendia’s injury update suggests that one of Aston Villa’s long-term absentees could soon return.
Aston Villa supporters have received an update from Emi Buendia on the condition of one of his colleagues who is nearing a comeback.
In training last month, the Argentine playmaker suffered a “significant” knee injury. According to The Athletic, he had an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) damage, and the typical recovery time is nine months.
Alex Moreno’s 2023–24 season will probably end before it even gets started, but he might soon make a comeback. Mexican left-back Moreno is getting closer to making a comeback after having surgery for an injury at the end of the previous season.
Last week, Aston Villa published pictures of him in training, and fans responded favorably. Buendia, who posted a picture of him, stood by him. Way to go, child! was used as the caption for the photo of the 30-year-old. You’re almost there.
He might be in line to rejoin the matchday squad for the match against Crystal Palace, which would be a great boost for Unai Emery. This term, Lucas Digne has been the go-to left-back, although greater competition for spots is sought to raise standards in both practice and competition.
Keinan Davis, who just left the club for Serie A team Udinese, hasn’t had an easy time. Hull City and Swansea were both options for him, but he decided to transfer to Italy instead, delaying the likelihood of his debut.
The 25-year-old has a calf injury and will now go through a period of rehabilitation; the severity of his ailment has not yet been determined, according to Udinese.
The striker is reportedly “not in good shape,” according to the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero Veneto, and might be sidelined for up to two months. As a result, Villa has capitalized on Davis at the perfect time. He was not included in the plans for the first squad, and his departure allowed the team to go closer to abiding by Financial Fair Play guidelines.
