Wilfried Gnonto, a forward for Leeds United, is now regarded as the Championship’s most valuable player this year.
Gnonto is worth £34 million, according to the CIES Football Observatory.
At £26 million, four players, including Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier, are tied for second place.
Carlos Alcaraz of Southampton, Wout Faes of Leicester City, and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall of Leicester City are some of the other names that were level with Meslier.
Naturally, Gnonto was heavily linked to a transfer away in the summer, and Everton is said to have made at least one offer.
Leeds did, however, say that Gnonto wouldn’t be moved this summer, and it appears the club is sticking to its guns.
And it’s clear that decision will be of great assistance to Daniel Farke.
Gnonto made an impact right away despite appearing inexperienced for Premier League football.
After one year, Gnonto is now worth nearly ten times the £3.8 million Leeds paid to sign him to a contract at Elland Road.
Now, Daniel Farke will be hoping that in the upcoming weeks, he can get all of his important players on the field simultaneously.
In the first few weeks of the season, injuries and transfer rumors severely interrupted Farke’s selecting process.
And Leeds will be a force in the Championship if they can get players like Gnonto, Summerville, Joel Piroe, and Georgino Rutter going.
