Barry Ferguson says Celtic have two players who can do things no Rangers player can, and it “worries me.”
A few home truths have been established in Glasgow’s south side during the past few days as a result of Celtic’s victory over Rangers on Sunday.
Due to Celtic’s ill-advised back four and poor play, the Rangers supporters were ecstatic about getting a result at Ibrox. However, Brendan Rodgers orchestrated yet another stunning win against the Parkhead team’s biggest rivals.
Barry Ferguson, a former midfielder with the Rangers, is concerned about the outcome. What’s the cause of that concern? Actually, there are two. Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi.
In their performance against Rangers on Sunday, both Celtic players stood out, and Ferguson says that his own team’s performance has him wondering where Rangers’ starting lineup has players of similar calibre.
For that 20 to 25 minute span, Callum McGregor made the difference, according to Ferguson [The Go Radio Football Show]. Of course, Kyogo is up top.
“That was the sole genuine example of quality in the entire game. He brings that, after all. He can win games.
That scares me when I look at Rangers. I want to see someone accomplish what Callum McGregor or Kyogo can. That’s not something I can see right now.
Celtic has game-changers all over the field.
While Kyogo is a match-winner, as Barry Ferguson has pointed out, he is not the only one. Over the previous two seasons, Liel Abada has established himself as one while playing for Celtic.
Joe Hart, Celtic’s custodian, has already prevented defeat this season with saves. specifically at Parkhead vs St. Johnstone.
That back door is kept closed by Cameron-Carter Vickers, and Matt O’Riley has a very impressive assist history.
Reo Hatate has the ability to crack defences apart, and if Hyunjun Yang keeps improving, he might turn into a very productive winger for Celtic.
Daizen Maeda, Hyeongyu Oh, or the recently signed Luis Palma and Paulo Bernardo haven’t even been discussed.
