BARNSLEY SIGNS FOR WORLD CLASS TEAM PLAYER-21-YEARS OLD
Fraser Barnsley, an 18-year-old custodian who was previously with Oxford United, has joined Everton Under-21s on a two-year deal that runs through the end of June 2025.
Barnsley, an Oxford academy product, made an impact during the club’s journey to the FA Youth Cup quarterfinals the previous year.
The youthful custodian has experienced loan stints at Welling United and Evesham United in addition to his development with the U’s.
Barnsley said to evertontv after finalising his move to Merseyside: “It’s a great feeling and a very proud moment for myself and my family.
Because possibilities to play for a football team like this don’t arise frequently, I’ll make sure I’m developing every day while I’m in the Everton facility. I’ll also try to enjoy it.
I’m excited to start at this excellent club with a great basis and history.
The adolescent was asked to name his best qualities, and he responded, “I’d probably say my shot-stopping and my communication. I place a lot of importance on teamwork and preventing goals rather than attempting to do it alone.
If we can cooperate well and have a spotless record, I envision
Barnsley is eager to practise with and pick the brain of England No. 1 and Blues goalkeeper Jordan Pickford as he joins Everton’s talented group of goalkeepers.
“I’ll try to soak up as much as I can,” Barnsley continued. Pickford is a fantastic custodian with a fantastic background.
“I’ll attempt to learn as much as I can about the senior Everton goalkeepers and use them as much as I can to get as far as I can.
I’m really excited and proud to be here, and I can’t wait to get going.
