Hosted his own Goal of the Month competition with three strikes from outside the box out of four in his five games. The defense knew what he was going to do, but remained unresponsive to the superb oblique efforts against Mansfield and Walsall.

Will Evans (Newport County) – striker

Six goals – half of Newport’s August goals – in five games for a striker provide a physical presence on and off the ball. Dominating in the air, he also showed strength and speed past defenders with 2 goals against Forest Green.

Davis Keillor-Dunn (Mansfield Town) – striker

Amid a string of injuries at Mansfield, Keillor-Dunn stood his ground in August with five goals and one assist in five games. Playing behind two strikers, he penetrated late into the box to land two precise shots against Crewe and a superb save against Stockport.
