UNBELIEVABLE: Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri is reportedly on the verge of leaving Elland Road, with his future becoming one of the talking points of the club’s summer transfer window.
Perri joined Leeds from Lyon in 2025 and initially arrived with expectations of becoming an important figure between the posts. However, his first season in England proved difficult, with competition for the starting position affecting his playing time. Reports indicate that Torino have been working on a move for the Brazilian goalkeeper, with a loan deal and an option to buy being discussed.
The main reason behind Perri’s expected departure appears to be the search for regular first-team football. After losing his place during the previous campaign, the 28-year-old is believed to be attracted by the opportunity to become a first-choice goalkeeper in Italy.
Leeds were initially reluctant to allow Perri to leave because they needed sufficient cover in the goalkeeper position. The arrival of James Trafford has reportedly helped clear the way for the Brazilian’s potential exit.
Perri has nevertheless left some memorable moments at Leeds. In the FA Cup quarter-final against West Ham, he played a major role in the penalty shootout, saving two penalties as Leeds progressed to the semi-finals.
