Sheffield United make late plea to sign £25m Premier League midfielder
Sheffield United is making a last-ditch effort to persuade Pep Guardiola to loan them James McAtee once more.
Luke Thomas was acquired from Leicester City earlier today by United using one of their domestic loans. However, there is just one spot open, and Paul Heckingbottom has been scrambling all summer to sign McAtee.
McAtee’s season-ending performance last year has persuaded the United manager that he’s worth taking again. Adding in the final third is now considered as vital for United.
And according to Alan Nixon, the Blades are making a last ditch push to convince City to send McAtee over the Pennines again.
