Disappointment for Liverpool U18s
Amara Nallo and Trey Nyoni, who arrived from West Ham and Leicester City respectively, started for Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s side.
But it was a nightmare start to the U18s Premier League Cup as they were beaten 6-1 by Crystal Palace.
Nyoni set up Jayden Danns, who celebrated his first England U18s call-up, with a goal. Danns now has five goals in four games for the young Reds.
According to Ekrem Konur, Al Ittihad is ready to increase their bid for Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
He claims that the Saudi Pro League club is preparing a £200 million bid for the Egyptian.
Despite the fact that Europe’s transfer window closed on Friday, it has been alleged that theirs is still open. According to reports, participants must register by September 7.
Liverpool are determined about not selling the record-breaking attacker, and the odds suggest he will stay at Anfield.
BREAKING: Ryan Gravenberch to train with Liverpool for the first time
Deadline day signing Ryan Gravenberch has been granted a work permit and will train with his Liverpool teammates for the first time today.
He will not, however, be eligible to play against Aston Villa on Sunday but it is likely that he will be in attendance at Anfield.
He is in contention to make his debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers when the Premier League returns after the international break.
“I’m very happy. Very happy that the deal is done and I’m finally here,” Gravenberch said in an interview with Liverpoolfc.com. “If you see it from the outside, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. Also the fans, the stadium, I think everything from the outside is top. So that’s why [it was the right club].
“I’m really looking forward to [being at Anfield] and I can’t wait to hear the You’ll Never Walk Alone song. Now we start fresh again, a new start, and I’m going to give my all for this club. [My ambitions are] to win prizes. To win prizes, play a lot and show them who we are and who I am.”
