Incredible’ Just before yesterday’s deadline, a Liverpool player completed a last-minute loan move.

Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton completed a late loan move to Hull City last night.

The 20-year-old was rumoured to be on his way to Humberside early yesterday on transfer deadline day. However, when the 11 p.m. deadline approached, there was no sign of anything being accomplished.

That was until 11:45 p.m., when liverpoolfc.com announced that Morton had left for the season.

The youngster’s relocation must have come down to the wire, as it became public knowledge well after the deadline.

In any case, it appears to be an excellent place for Morton to continue his development. Last season’s Championship campaign did wonders for his physicality; let’s hope for another excellent year. Tyler, best wishes!

Morton makes Hull move

Although Morton got his loan deal in the end, there were a couple of young Reds who didn’t manage it.

As well as the Hull man, Luke Chambers and Bobby Clark were both reportedly expected to leave Anfield temporarily.

But despite deadline day interest in Clark from Derby, both players stayed put.

With Liverpool’s Europa League group looking – with all due respect to the teams involved – relatively straightforward, it will be interesting to see if either are given minutes when that competition gets going.

For Morton though, he’ll surely be looking forward to having another crack at the Championship.

The midfielder seems to be something of a go-getter. And after being called ‘incredible’ by Jurgen Klopp a year ago [The Times], he now needs to kick on and show that he can be a viable option for Liverpool.

As long as he stays fit, you’d back Morton to do that. Klopp is already a fan of his. Show more development at Hull, and he could be in the Liverpool first-team this time next year.
