DOM Ballard has completed a season-long loan deal at Reading and reunited with former manager Ruben Selles, as first reported by The Daily Echo.
The 18-year-old signed his first senior loan deal of his career when he joined the League One club for the remainder of the season.
Ballard has enjoyed a stellar start to the season with six goals in three Premier League 2 games and will now gain valuable experience in senior football with the Royals.
He made four first-team appearances, scoring on his professional debut in the EFL Cup and making extra appearances in the FA Cup and Premier League at the end of the 2022-23 season.
The club’s statement added:
“The club wishes Dom the best during his loan spell and will monitor his progress.
“
Ballard took the Royals number 9 shirt and trained with the team at Bearwood on Friday before finalizing the transfer.
He could make his debut against Cambridge United on Monday – the team for which he scored his first national team goal.
