Report: Everton have now been offered the chance to sign £15m former Liverpool player today

Everton have been offered the chance to sign West Ham’s Danny Ings.

According to TEAMtalk, the Toffees could further bolster their attack and Sean Dyche could be about to reunite with his former striker.

Everton had been linked with a move for Ings last week prior to Beto‘s arrival at the club, though it was thought they may still look to add another forward to their ranks.

Ings had reportedly turned down the chance to move to Goodison Park as he was eager to battle for his place in the Irons’ line-up, however it appears they would now prefer to offload him on deadline day.

The 31-year-old was Burnley’s top goalscorer in consecutive seasons under Dyche before he earned a move to Liverpool in 2015.

Ings enjoyed prolific success with Southampton years later, however he hasn’t managed to live up to expectations at the London Stadium since joining the club earlier this year.

Everton offered Ings and Maxwel Cornet on transfer deadline day

Meanwhile, Dyche could also reunite with another West Ham attacker in Maxwel Cornet. Everton have been offered the chance to snap up the Ivorian as he falls further down the pecking order in the English capital.

Dyche signed Cornet from Lyon in August 2021, with the winger finishing the season as the team’s top scorer and proving to be one of few bright sparks at Turf Moor.

Cornet earned himself a move to West Ham a year later, however he has struggled to force his way into the first team set-up and is yet to score a league goal for the club.

While it is unclear how much the pair would cost Everton, Dyche could be the man to help rediscover their form if the club are able to fork out the cash for their signatures.

The pair would still have growing competition for their place at Goodison Park, with the Toffees already signing Beto, Youssef Chermiti, Jack Harrison and Arnaut Danjuma.
