The Foxes long held admiration of the 25-year-old is expected to end in disappointment with the Moroccan attacker set to remain at Loftus Road beyond tomorrow’s deadline. Leicester have reportedly turned their attention elsewhere as they look to continue their summer spending

The player joined QPR’s youth set up in 2017 where he would progress through the ranks to the senior side. In 2019 he departed on loan to Stevenage, impressing in his 16 appearances scoring six goals. Ainsworth will be hoping to improve his sides poor start to the season, he was hopeful in defeat recently highlighting the superb quality some of his players competed with but face a tough test against a Middlesbrough side who will also be looking to get their season back on track after a poor start. QPR sit 19th with just three points, following three defeats and a victory over Cardiff City in the second game of the season. They were also knocked out of the EFL Cup by Norwich

The 25-year-old is a key part of QPR, and is known to be well thought of by his coaches at the struggling Championship side. To allow him to leave, this close to the end of the window would be a nightmare issue for a team that is already having difficulties on the pitch. Chair is one of their prized assets and I expect him to stay at the club for the forseeable. His contract ends in 2025, but the club hold a one year option, so there is no rush to move him on.
