Jack Endacott has become the third young Plymouth Argyle professional to be loaned out to a non-league club for the start of the new season.

The left-back, who will be 19 in October, has joined Southern League Premier South side Tiverton Town on a three-month loan.

Tiverton begin their Southern League season at home to Basingstoke Town this Saturday and will host Tiverton on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28.

Kevin Nancekivell, Argyle first team coach and head of player development, told the official club website: “This is a great opportunity for Jack to head out and play some more football at a good level, and gain valuable experience.

“Like Will Jenkins Davies and Oscar Halls, Jack is taking the next step in the pathway we have defined, where he can gain skills to stand him in good stead for the future. We will keep a close eye on his progress, and wish him well

Endacott made eight first team appearances for Argyle last season as a second-year apprentice, with his debut coming when he started a 2-0 home Carabao Cup first round defeat by Peterborough United.

He played six times in the Pilgrims’ run to the Papa Johns Trophy final, and played his first league game as a substitute in a 3-1 victory over visiting MK Dons on January 1, 2023

Argyle are likely to also be looking to loan out 18-year-old goalkeeper Zak Baker to gain first team experience.

Baker played as a substitute in the pre-season games against Hearts and Plymouth Parkway, and is highly-rated by goalkeeper and Argyle 2022/23 Player-of-the-Year Mike Cooper.

Tiverton’s deal with the National League South side includes permission to play him in the first qualifying round of the FA Cup, in which the Yellows host Wimborne next Saturday, September 2.

Lewis, who is from Ilminster, departed Tiverton for Huish Park at the end of last season after making 123 appearances in three years.

His career began in the Exeter City Academy, where his performances earned the shotstopper a one-year-deal with the Grecians.

After departing St James Park, he stepped up into men’s football with Wells City before making the switch to Tiverton in 2019
