AGENT: LIVERPOOL SUPERSTAR IS NOT FOR SALE TO SAUDIS ARABIA CLUB ANFIELD INDEX

Liverpool remains firm in their decision: Mohamed Salah isn’t on the market. This comes amidst heightened interest from Saudi Pro League’s Al Ittihad. The PIF-backed club has been making waves this transfer season, securing big names like Fabinho, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kanté. Rumours are rife about their intent to make Salah the top earner of the league, even surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, insiders at Anfield have clarified that no formal offer has been presented. The club’s position is clear: Salah isn’t going anywhere this transfer season. The speculation around their star player is acknowledged, but the club remains steadfast, especially after recent transfers of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson to Saudi teams. There’s also been chatter about potential interest in Luis Díaz, Thiago Alcântara, and Alisson Becker.

Contrary to circulating reports, there’s no current indication that Salah is looking for a change. Earlier this month, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, took to Twitter to reaffirm Salah’s dedication to Liverpool. He highlighted Salah’s recent three-year contract extension in 2022, which made him the highest earner in Liverpool’s history. Abbas’s tweet from August 7th read, “If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”

Adding to this sentiment, Dejan Lovren, ex-Liverpool defender and Salah’s close associate, responded to a tweet from ‘Transfer News Live’ with a GIF implying dishonesty, much to the relief of Liverpool fans.

The ongoing interest from Al Ittihad and the consistent news about Salah’s potential move is undoubtedly causing a stir among fans. The extended transfer window for Saudi clubs, which remains open until September 20, adds to the uncertainty, especially with the European window closing on September 1.

Liverpool’s focus remains on strengthening their squad. They’re actively looking for a versatile midfielder and defender. Names like Ryan Gravenberch and Cheick Doucouré are on the radar, while interest in players like Sofyan Amrabat and Kalvin Phillips is being assessed.

POTENTIAL TRANSFERS AND OUTGOINGS

Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié is on Liverpool’s list as a potential defensive recruit. However, securing the young Ecuadorian international might require a significant offer.

On the other hand, Liverpool is anticipating offers for Nat Phillips, who’s eager for more regular playtime. Several players, including Tyler Morton and Luke Chambers, might be considered for loan moves. Mateusz Musialowski might be on the list for a permanent transfer, with TSV Hartberg showing interest. Billy Koumetio, once seen as a potential first-team player, might also be on the move after his absence from the senior squad during pre-season.
