In a shocking move, the Newcastle Knights have announced that star centre Bradman Best will take on the role of senior captain, effective immediately. The 24-year-old has been a key player for the Knights since his debut in 2019, known for his fearsome strength and speed on the field.

Best, a product of the Knights’ pathways system, has represented NSW at Under 16’s and Under 18’s levels and played for the Australian Schoolboys. He has been signed to the club until at least the end of the 2027 season.
