Former Brisbane Broncos star Corey Parker has opened up about his life beyond football, revealing how meeting his wife Margaux Parker changed everything he thought he knew about love, family, and purpose.

“When I first met Margaux, I admit — she wasn’t what I had imagined,” Parker shared in an emotional interview. “At that stage of my life, I was completely wrapped up in footy. I wasn’t looking for anything else. My world revolved around the game — training, playing, recovery — that was it.”

But everything shifted when Margaux came into his life.

“Margaux was different,” he recalled. “She had this spark about her — confident, energetic, and she never hesitated to speak her mind. At the time, I wasn’t sure how to take it. I’d never met anyone like her before.”

The couple’s connection grew stronger over time, eventually blossoming into one of Queensland’s most admired partnerships. While Corey became one of the most decorated players in the Broncos’ history, Margaux built a name of her own in media and radio, balancing her career with motherhood and supporting Corey through the highs and lows of professional sport.

Now, years after hanging up his boots, Parker says his perspective has completely changed.

“Footy will always be a huge part of my life,” he said. “But when I look at Margaux and our family — that’s my real world. That’s what matters most.”

The pair, who share four children, continue to be one of Queensland’s most grounded and admired families — a testament to their strength, humor, and deep connection.

“Margaux brought balance and perspective,” Parker said. “She taught me there’s more to life than the game. She’s the reason I’m the man I am today.”
