“I want to go to Liverpool”: Man Utd told by agents their target agreed personal terms with LFC

“I want to go to Liverpool”: Man Utd told by agents their target agreed personal terms with LFC..

Manchester United contacted the representatives of Fluminense midfielder Andre but were rebuffed due to an agreement with Liverpool.

The Reds signed Wataru Endo last week and they could follow that up with a move to sign Andre although it will be difficult to sign the Brazilian this summer.

Fluminense are adamant they do not want to sell him until the January transfer window by which point their season will be concluded.

Liverpool are willing to offer €30 million plus bonuses to complete a move to sign Andre but will not be able to sign the midfielder until the winter transfer window opens.

The latest update is that Liverpool and Andre have agreed personal terms – a fact that Manchester United were embarrassingly told when they contacted the player’s agents, according to Emmanuel Luiz via the Redmen TV.

He said: “Manchester United went to Andre’s camp to talk with them about a possible negotiation… What they said was [Andre] had personal terms agreed with Liverpool

“Andre said I want to go to Liverpool. Liverpool said they will talk to Fluminense after the window closes… done deal. Liverpool wants to close the deal in the first week of September.

“Fluminense wants to sell their share of the player but they want 20% of a sell-on clause. If Liverpool waits until after [international call-up], his market value will increase.”

Andre is an exciting player and fits the club’s recruitment profile to a tee although they rarely recruit straight from South America due to work permit complications.

Would Andre solve Jurgen Klopp’s midfield headache?

Liverpool need another midfielder but if they need to wait until January for him to join, it’s a risk that could jeopardize the entire season.

The need for midfielders has been clear for over a year now and if this summer ends with only three new players arriving despite Liverpool losing five senior midfielders, it will be difficult to defend the decision makers at Anfield.

Fans are hopeful that success can be found regardless of the signings completed this summer as the attacking players at the club have already showcased why they will be so dangerous this season.

The goal that Luis Diaz scored to make it 1-1 against Bournemouth was simply brilliant. While issues in midfield and defence remain, fans can feel secure in knowing Liverpool have arguably the best attackers in the Premier League.
