has officially signed a three-year contract with after completing his move from in a deal reportedly worth around £28 million.

The Nigerian international forward completed his medical earlier this week before putting pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at Goodison Park until 2029. Everton manager is believed to have pushed strongly for the signing as the club looks to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season.

Awoniyi, who impressed during his time at Nottingham Forest with his strength, pace, and eye for goal, thanked the Forest supporters in an emotional message while expressing excitement about the new challenge on Merseyside.

Speaking shortly after the announcement, Awoniyi said he is “excited to start a new chapter and help Everton achieve big things.” Everton fans have already begun welcoming the Nigerian striker on social media, hoping he will bring goals and energy to the squad.
