Huddersfield Town boss Neil Warnock demands photographic evidence of Sorba Thomas smiling
The Terriers boss claimed never to have seen the rare sight before Saturday’s draw away to Middlesbrough, where the Welshman’s corner forced the opening own goal
Neil Warnock is pleased to see Sorba Thomas enjoying himself in a Terriers shirt again, feeling that the winger’s improved mood is being accompanied by an improvement in his work rate.
Thomas admitted earlier this summer that he did not have the best time of it last season but has re-established himself as a regular under Warnockafter returning to the John Smith’s Stadium following his loan spell with Blackburn Rovers.

“I think it shows you, if you enjoy your game you work harder. I’ve never seen him work as hard as that this season. That’s the best game of his by an absolute mile, and all credit to him really. He got a fluky goal but that’s how it happened.
“We thought that was an area, that near post, and I thought if we’d have worked a little bit harder…we won a few good headers at the back post going [back across the box], but we had nobody coming in,which we will work on now because there’s goals to be had at our corners…we’re quite good at them, I think.”
