Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Championship club West Brom have taken Ruben Shakpoke on trial with a view to a transfer this summer.
Ruben is the son of former Super Eagles fullback Jero Shakpoke, who was earmarked by ex-Nigeria coach Bora Milutinović to be the first choice right-back at the 1998 World Cup, only for him to suffer a career threatening injury in a pre-World Cup friendly against Netherlands eight days before Nigeria’s opener.
