The 20-year-old has first team experience in the Premier League and could make a season-long switch to Edinburgh
Hearts could be set to add Brighton defender Odel Offiah to their squad on loan, according to reports.
The 20-year-old is predominantly a centre back but can also play at right back and that is a position the Jambos have been looking to add another option in with Nathaniel Atkinson the only recognised player in there. Offiah has made five top team appearances for the Seagulls, including two in the Premier League last season.
But talks are now taking place with a view to him heading to Tynecastle for a season-long loan, according to the Telegraph. He would add competition for Atkinson at right back but also in the heart of defence where Frankie Kent, Kye Rowles and Toby Sibbick are the fit options with Craig Halkett battling back to fitness. It would take the Gorgie side’s transfer business to seven for the summer after Michael McGovern, Kent, Calem Nieuwenhof, Alex Lowry, Kysouke Tagawa and Kenneth Vargas were brought in.
Technical director Steven Naismith has been heavily involved in transfers as he looks to mould the squad to play the way he wants.
Former Hearts Scottish Cup winning defender David Weir is currently in a position at Brighton which seems him in charge of loaning young players out, so will be heavily involved in the deal.
The Jambos signed Alex Cochrane on loan from the same club two years ago and after a successful campaign they paid money to get him on a permanent basis.
