Birmingham City face striker transfer decision after ‘discussions’….
Latest Birmingham City news and gossip from Birmingham Live amid reported interest from rival clubs in Sam Cosgrove
Blackpool are said to be determined to beat off competition to sign Birmingham City striker Sam Cosgrove.
Sun reporter Alan Nixon claims the League One club are keen to take the 26-year-old on loan amid rival interest from the likes of Charlton, Oxford, and Barnsley.
It is claimed that all of the clubs have “been in discussions” over both loans and permanent moves for Cosgrove, who joined Blues for a reported £2m two years ago.
Cosgrove made two appearances for John Eustace last season before joining Plymouth Argyle on loan in September. On his return to St Andrew’s, he was named as an unused substitute for the opening games this term against Swansea City and Leeds United.

He played a brief part in Blues’ 2-0 Carabao Cup win over Cheltenham Town in midweek, but it remains to be seen whether he will be handed the opportunity to play a part this season after failed loan spells at Shrewsbury Town and AFC Wimbledon.
His Blues contract is set to run out next summer, and the club could risk losing him for nothing if a transfer does not materialise.
