According to a report from Leicestershire Live, Leicester City are on the verge of finalising the loan deal for Manchester City defender Callum DoyleLeicester City are on the verge of finalising the loan deal for Man City defender Callum Doyle, which would see him reunite with Enzo Maresca. The 19-year-old centre-back is poised to join Leicester as their third summer signing, joining the likes of Conor Coady from Wolves and Harry Winks from Tottenham in bolstering the squad this summer.

Doyle’s Successful Loan Spells That Shaped His Growth

Despite emerging from their youth academy, Doyle is still awaiting his debut for the Sky Blues. He previously had the chance to collaborate with Enzo Maresca, the current manager of Leicester City, during the 2020/21 season. However, he wasn’t given an opportunity to feature in Pep Guardiola’s first team and will be moving out on loan, so it could only come after he has been recalled.

In the 2021/22 season, Doyle enjoyed a successful loan spell at Sunderland, contributing to their promotion from League One. He then embarked on another loan stint with Coventry City in the Championship, where he played a vital role in their journey to the play-off finals, accumulating 46 appearances
