Brisbane Broncos star Reece Walsh broke down in tears after a shocking DNA revelation allegedly changed everything he thought he knew about his past. The 23-year-old fullback had taken a private ancestry test “just for fun,” but the results were anything but light-hearted.
According to sources, the DNA test suggested Walsh may be distantly related to a former rugby league legend from a rival club. The news sent shockwaves through the Broncos camp, with teammates rallying around their captain as he struggled to process the revelation.
Walsh has since downplayed the situation, stating, “It doesn’t change who I play for or what this jersey means to me. But it definitely makes you think about where you come from”.
Meanwhile, Walsh has been dealing with another challenge – a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury that has sidelined him for at least a month. The injury, sustained during a match against the New Zealand Warriors, has ruled him out of the upcoming State of Origin series opener.
