Bundesliga duo Hoffenheim and FC Augsburg have enquired about Leeds United target
That is according to journalist Dominik Schneider, who reports Leeds remain in the race for the Paris Saint Germain midfielder, but no club have made an offer as of yet.
The German outfits have both asked about a potential permanent or loan transfer for Michut, who is currently training away from PSG’s first team squad.
As per Goal, Michut is part of a large group of players in the French capital including Kylian Mbappe not part of the club’s plans and has therefore been told to stay away from the main group.
He spent last season on loan in the Championship at Sunderland, though Michut opted against making the move permanent despite a £2.2m option-to-buy having been included in the deal.
News of Leeds’ interest first came to light last month, with Fabrizio Romano reporting the Whites as one of several clubs interest in the 20-year-old.
However, it appears since then it has not really moved forward as expected, and Bundesliga clubs are now looking to steal a march in the race.
Leeds remain in the market for at least two new midfielders before the end of the window, with Daniel Farke citing the need for both creativity and physicality in that area of the field.
Michut would certainly fall under the category of the former, with his ability in possession likely to be what has attracted Leeds to him.
Other potential midfield targets this summer include Coventry City’s Gustavo Hamer and Rangers’ Glen Kamara
