LIVE NEWS: Nottingham Forest star spotted in training as he steps up recovery.

Nottingham Forest defender Felipe looks to be stepping up his return to full fitness after missing pre-season through injury. The centre-back won’t be involved on Saturday at Arsenal but he is now back doing some sort of training.

The Reds defender is integral to Steve Cooper’s plans. Even at 34-years-old, he was one of the most important players in the Forest squad last season and hopefully, he can be back quickly.

Felipe checked in at Forest for £1.8 million in January. He signed a deal to remain at the club for 18 months and it looks likely that he will stay as an important member of the squad this season.

It’s quite devastating that he won’t be able to play this weekend. He was absolutely colossal against Arsenal when they played the Gunners at the City Ground in May but he could be working his way back very soon.

Felipe has been spotted for the first time this pre-season in training. He’s been careful with a knee injury and now it looks as though he’s stepping up his efforts to return to the squad.
