Aston Villa are reportedly “ready” to trigger the relegation release clause of Leeds United midfielder SUPERSTAR amid interest from Chelsea.
The USA international has been linked with a move to Villa Park since earlier in the summer, after suffering relegation with Leeds at the end of last season. Nottingham Forest, Arsenal, Newcastle and Everton have all also been credited with an interest.
Adams was a key player for the Whites in the Premier League last season, but was unable to help his club during the end-of-season run-in due to a hamstring injury. Sam Allardyce’s team finished the season in 19th place meaning that they will be playing in the Championship in the new season.
Aston Villa will receive a £10 million-plus bid for Aaron Ramsey this summer, leaving Unai Emery with a decision to be made over the midfielder.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan with Championship sides Norwich City and Middlesbrough. He impressed as he helped the latter to qualify for the play-offs at the end of the season.
Ramsey is highly-rated at Villa Park, but his form has caused transfer interest in the current window. According to journalist Alan Nixon, via Patreon , newly promoted Burnley are ready to make a move for the Villa youngster.

Aston Villa are reported to be preparing an offer for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, despite the player recently signing a new contract with the club.
Villa have been linked with an interest in the former Arsenal man this summer, but Ceballos putting pen-to-paper on a new two-year dealseemed to end speculation that a move to Villa Park could be on the cards in the current transfer window.
However, that isn’t the case. According to Spanish outlet Sport, Villa have not given up their pursuit.
Aston Villa linked striker agrees personal terms with Roma
Aston Villa-linked striker Marco Leonardo has agreed personal terms with AS Roma as both parties await Santos’ decision.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Brazilian’s future is set to be decided this week after the Brazilian club received an offer for his services. Talks between the parties have since progressed and a decision is expected soon.
Villa and Nottingham Forest have also been credited with an interest, though are not thought to have made any official approach. Leonardo is under contract until 2026 and has a release clause of €100million, claims Brazilian outlet Globo.

Newcastle United have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of this weekend’s Sela Cup tournament at St James’ Park.
Sean Longstaff, Javier Manquillo and Emil Krafth have been pictured in training. Longstaff started for Eddie Howe’s in the Magpies’ opening pre-season friendly wins over Gateshead and Rangers before missing out in the Premier League Summer Series.
In addition, Manquillo played in the 3-3 draw against Villa in Philadelphia and missed out against Chelsea and Brighton and Hove Albion. Meanwhile, Krafth returned to Darsley Park for group training for the first time since suffering an ACL last August
Confirmed: Aston Villa sanction ‘influential’ midfielder transfer
Aston Villa midfielder Finn Azaz has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan for a second successive year.
After signing a new contract extension with Villa, he will rejoin the Pilgrims after making 38 appearances on loan last season. He contributed with eight goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
A statement released by Plymouth, reads: “Finn Azaz has rejoined Argyle. The creative midfielder, who played a huge part in Argyle’s Sky Bet League One title-winning success last season, is back for another season-long loan at Home Park, from Aston Villa.

Aston Villa play-off hero nets Championship transfer after successful trial
Former Aston Villa forward Andre Green has signed a two-year contract with Rotherham United.
The Villa academy graduate had recently been on trial at the Championship team following a two-year stint at Slovakia’s Slovan Bratislava. He had spells at Preston North End, Charlton Athletic, Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth.
After agreeing terms with the Millers last weekend, a statement released by the club, read: “Rotherham United are delighted to confirm the arrival of striker Andre Green following the expiration of his contract with Slovakian outfit Slovan Bratislava, subject to ratification from the EFL, FA and International Clearance.
