Sources: Leeds United actively working on signing two stars for possible starting

Leeds are actively working on signing a striker but need to raise transfer funds before they can make a move.

The Whites have also earmarked a new number ten as an area to strengthen.

On Saturday (5 August), Football Insider revealed that new boss Daniel Farke is expecting to lose Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto before the window closes.

Farke has already sanctioned the search to replace the attacking pair.

On 4 August, Football Insider revealed that Leeds are monitoring the situation of Coventry City midfielder Gus Hamer as a possible target for the summer.

The Whites have already lost several assets from the squad following their relegation to the Championship.

Robin Koch, Max Wober, Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen and Marc Roca have departed on loan for the upcoming campaign whilst Joel Robles left the club for free following the expiration of his contract.

Striker Rodrigo joined Al-Rayyan on a permanent basis for a reported fee of around £3.5million whilst fellow attacker Tyler Roberts joined Birmingham City.

Farke has Patrick Bamford to deploy up front but the 29-year-old has massively struggled with injuries in recent seasons and started just 18 Premier League games last term.

The Whites also signed French forward Georginio Rutter in January who put pen to paper on a five-and-a-half year deal with the Yorkshire club.Gustavo Hamer interview: Coventry midfielder on Coventry hopes and play-off dream | Football News | Sky Sports
