A Career at Everton Appears Over
The 27-year-old left winger has amassed 200 Premier League appearances in a career that has seen him represent Leicester City, Birmingham City and Everton with a short spell at Bayer Leverkusen in the 2020/21 season. However, he has never yet really proven himself as a reliable Premier League player in his career to date
However, Gray does have one achievement that many players will envy. He was a part of the Leicester Premier League winning side in 2015/16, joining in January of that season from Birmingham City. His contribution to the campaign was 11 substitute appearances and one start as the Foxes sealed the most memorable title-winning campaign in recent history.
According to David Ornstein of the Athletic, Everton winger Gray has agreed to personal terms with Fulham ahead of a potential transfer. The clubs are still apart in the valuation of the player and the London side may lose out if they do not act quickly. He will need replacing at Everton, as his versatility was key to their survival at times last season. Playing all across the frontline, the winger’s four goals sealed draws in games against Manchester City and Nottingham Forest home and away.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for the signing of Gray and his overall impact on the squad. Speaking in January, he stated: “Demarai Gray’s the only one. Unbelievable find. He’s the one, in recent weeks anyway. He hasn’t done it over the course of the whole season, but in recent weeks, he’s been the one.
The Deal is Far From Complete
Fulham have lost Manor Solomon this summer, who scored some excellent goals from the bench throughout the Premier League campaign. Having the Everton winger as an additional option alongside veteran Willian on the left will give Marco Silva strength in depth in this position.

The Jamaica international has not returned to training after taking part in his national side’s run to the Gold Cup semi-finals. The transfer fee may be a sticking point, as the Toffees are keen to bring in additional funds to strengthen a squad lacking in real quality to help them avoid another relegation fight.
