Andre Trindade reportedly wants to move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Liverpool are interested in signing Andre Trindade from Fluminense in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that although Fluminense “are reluctant to let Andre exit this summer”, the Brazilian midfielder himself wants to move to Anfield and “is sold on a transfer to Anfield’.
Sky Sports has claimed that Liverpool will have to pay £20 million in transfer fees for the 22-year-old midfielder.
The report has added that Liverpool are looking at Andre as a potential alternative Romeo Lavia.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have seen another bid for Lavia turned down.
Southampton reportedly want £50 million for the Belgium international defensive midfielder.
Liverpool do not want to pay that amount.
Andre Trindade would be a good signing for Liverpool
In our opinion, Andre Trindade would be a very good signing for Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Trindade is a Brazil international and has done well in South America.
We believe that the youngster is now ready to make the move to Liverpool.
Moreover, he would cost just £20 million.
Romeo Lavia would cost £50 million.
We do not think that Lavia is worth £50 million, given that he is only 19 now and has played top-flight football for only a season.
And, let us not forget, Southampton got relegated to the Championship at the end of last season.
For £20 million, Andre could prove to be a bargain signing for Liverpool.
Yes, it could take Andre a while to used to the rigours of the Premier League.
But, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could afford to be patient with the youngster.
After all, the Merseyside club have already signed Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister in the summer transfer window, so Andre could be eased into life in England.
