Everton are interested in signing Brazilian winger Tete but could miss out with Italian side Napoli chsing a deal
Napoli are keen to sign Tete in a move which could leave Everton very frustrated.
That is according to a report from Calciomercato, who claim that Napoli are interested in signing Tete.
Napoli are seemingly expecting to sell winger Hirving Lozano with Major League Soccer side LAFC keen.
Tete is believed to be an option for the Italian champions given that the Brazilian is seemingly available for free.
Everton have also been considering a move for Tete as they desperately seek attacking additions this summer.
TalkSPORT reported a few days ago that Everton have been eyeing up Tete for a move to Goodison Park.
Everton have landed one winger in Arnaut Danjuma but missed out on new Nottingham Forest wide man Anthony Elanga.
Beating the Serie A winners – a significant Champions League club – won’t be easy for Everton though and Toffees fans may fear missing out on another target.
The 23-year-old dazzled on his debut against Aston Villa but struggled to maintain his form as the Foxes suffered relegation.
Everton may believe that Tete has enough talent and potential to be well worth a punt on a free transfer.
Hailed as a special player by former Lyon boss Peter Bosz, Tete will be looking to settle down after a turbulent 18 months with Everton now left hoping that they can beat Napoli.

Everton in transfer tussle to sign Rico Lewis
-
Everton are one of the sides keen on 18-year-old Manchester City wonderkid Rico Lewis, but Pep Guardiola may not sanction any move.
- According to The Sun via HITC, Everton are keen on Rico Lewis in this window, as Sean Dyche is keen to take the youngster on loan. Pep Guardiola will not want to let the 18-year-old leave Manchester City after an impressive season under his belt.If any player surprised in this Manchester City squad last season, it was Rico Lewis. Pep Guardiola is usually reserved in giving minutes to his young stars barring a few. But he allowed the 18-year-old ample game time to showcase his talents in all competitions.Lewis played 14 games in the Premier League and scored his first goal in the Champions League group stage against Sevilla. His emergence in the squad offset the sudden departure of Joao Cancelo in January, with the Portuguese international attracting summer interest ahead of a possible move away from Manchester City.
Lewis embodied the inverted full-back role to his best ability, with Guardiola seemingly liking what he saw from the 18-year-old. With Cancelo likely to leave, the Catalan manager will place more emphasis on the young full-back in the upcoming season.
With Everton reportedly keen on signing Lewis on a loan deal in this window, Guardiola will not sanction a departure. He might have considered temporarily allowing the 18-year-old treble winner to join another Premier League side. But the current scenario does not favour such a decision.
Everton have not had the best of windows, with the arrival of Arnaut Danjuma the only positive signing so far. Sean Dyche remains keen to strengthen the squad as much as possible, as many players are currently linked with a move
Lewis represents a solid young star on the rise, and Dyche must have seen how he can help his Everton side in the upcoming season. He will have known the difficulties in pursuing the target, with Guardiola a big fan of the 18-year-old.
Leeds are also keen on Lewis. But like Everton, they have no chance whatsoever to change Guardiola’s mind. The Manchester City boss will hope for an even better season from the full-back as he could look at Lewis as the long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.
