BEREA, Ohio — Three key Browns Pro Bowlers returned to practice on Friday of Chargers week in Denzel Ward (concussion), David Njoku (foot, ankle) and Joel Bitonio (foot).
Ward suffered his sixth career concussion during last Sunday’s 29-24 victory over the Ravens, and sat out practice on Wednesday and Thursday. His status will be updated after practice on Friday, as will all of the injured players.
Njoku, who missed Weeks 2-4 with his sprained ankle, sat out practice on Thursday with the ankle injury and a hand injury after not appearing on the injury report on Wednesday.
Bitonio suffered a foot injury against the Ravens and sat out practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He said he was working through the injury and would see how felt as the week went along.
If Bitonio can’t play, or if Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) starts in place of Dawand Jones, it will mark the eighth offensive line combination for the Browns in nine games this season.
The Browns had already ruled out linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (neck) earlier in ths week. He suffered it late in the third quarter and was immobilized on a board and carted off. He spent the night at University Hospitals for observation, but was released the next morning with movement in all of his extremities. He was walkihg around on Monday as well, Kevin Stefanski said.
This story will be updated.
