DONE DEAL:Everton make final offer to sign ‘Outstanding’ striker, deal could be done today

Everton have made one final attempt to sign El Bilal Toure from Almeria after a deal was agreed with Atalanta, according to Paco Gregorio.

Writing on his personal Twitter account (26 July), the Diario De Almeria journalist is reporting that the Toffees have made a final offer for the Mali international that includes no players going in the other direction.

However the journalist claims that the only way a deal will happen is if they gazump Atalanta’s offer, with a deal “very likely” to be completed on Wednesday (26 July).

“It is very likely that El Bilal will close today,” he wrote.

“Indeed there is one last attempt by Everton, but there are no other players involved in the operation. The only option for the English to take him is to pay more than Atalanta, with whom there is a deal.”

If this is the man that Sean Dyche wants to lead the line going into the new season, then Everton absolutely must do everything they can to bring him in.

Almeria have been very clear that they want at least £25.7m for the “outstanding” striker and the Serie A club has actually exceeded that amount as they prepare for the potential exit of Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United.

But if Everton are to step in and match their offer, or at least Almeria’s asking price, then there is every chance that he heads to Goodison Park for a chance to play in the Premier League.Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain could influence Everton's next signing amid El Bilal Toure interest - Liverpool Echo

The club have clearly been working hard to get this deal done and the fact Atalanta agreed a deal clearly hasn’t put them off either, so to let it slip now would be awful news.

The new season is so close now and having a new striker would lift the mood for everyone at Goodison Park and boost Dyche’s chances of doing what he wants dramatically. Get it done.
