Ever dreamed of joining the Wildcats? Here’s your opportunity.
The University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball team will hold open tryouts for the 2024-25 season on Friday, August 30, from 6:30 to 8:00 AM ET at the Joe Craft Center. This tryout is available exclusively to full-time, academically eligible UK students.
To express your interest, email ukmensbasketball@uky.edu with the subject line: UK Walk-On Tryout. Your email should include:
– First and Last Name
– UK ID Number
– UK Email
– Cell Phone Number
– Playing Experience (High School, Junior College, Transfer) & Profile (Height, Weight, etc.)
– High School Coach’s Contact Information
If selected, you will receive a Try-Out Authorization Form via your UK email.
To be cleared for the tryout, submit the following documents with your Try-Out Authorization Form by Monday, August 26:
– Completed Basketball Physical Paperwork (available through your primary care doctor or student health)
– A copy of the front and back of your insurance card
– A copy of your Sickle Cell Test result (a negative result is required; processing may take a few days)
