They’ll be playing in the Europa Conference League next season after finishing ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford, who also won on the final weekend. But to ensure they will be playing on more than just a couple of Thursday nights next season, Villa must get through a two-legged play-off in August to book their place in the group stage.

Every team who qualifies for the Europa Conference League must get through the play-off round to enter the group stage. The play-off draw will take place on Monday, August 7, a few days before Villa open their new Premier League campaign.
