Aston Villa have qualified for European football for the first time in 13 years after securing a seventh-placed finish on the final day of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.
They’ll be playing in the Europa Conference League next season after finishing ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford, who also won on the final weekend. But to ensure they will be playing on more than just a couple of Thursday nights next season, Villa must get through a two-legged play-off in August to book their place in the group stage.
