Jamie O’Hara has pushed Tottenham Hotspur to go above and beyond this summer in order to get Alexander Isak, a striker for Newcastle.
Many sources have supported Tottenham to pursue a star center-forward in the past few months; the Lilywhites are rumoured to be searching for Harry Kane’s successor (Football Insider).
Isak is supposedly one of the players Tottenham is considering, as The Sun reported at the beginning of April that the Magpies may need to sell some players to meet FFP requirements.
According to the report, Newcastle was expecting offers for the centre-forward, who they reportedly value at £100 million, from both Spurs and Arsenal.
Football Insider later confirmed that Ange Postecoglou’s team has set aside a significant amount of the summer budget to sign a top-tier number nine of the Swede’s calibre, supporting the two North London clubs’ interest in Isak.
Jamie O’Hara wants Isak at Tottenham
O’Hara has admitted that he would love to see the 24-year-old PL star come to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
The former Spurs midfielder told talkSPORT (27/4/24, 5:34 pm): “We would love Isak at Tottenham. Let’s get him in. What a player he is!”

While Tottenham do need a game-changing signing upfront, Isak is not a realistic target. Not only does the Swede seem happy at St James Park but Newcastle would not be willing to let him go unless they receive a mammoth offer.
The Magpies do have to sell some players because of PSR difficulties, but they also have a lot of other sellable players in their team, and it appears that Bruno Guimaraes will likely be sacrificed this summer.
