Unai Emery confirms four players ruled out of Bournemouth clash tomorrow

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has revealed four players are now out of the Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Sunday.

Villa head into the weekend fixtures in fourth place after their superb performance against Arsenal last Sunday.

Tottenham’s loss to Newcastle United means Villa are now in pole position to secure a spot in next season’s elite competition.

Ange Postecoglou’s side sit three points adrift but hold an all-important game in hand, which could prove crucial come the end of the season.

“I think no more. After the match we played yesterday, we will have to wait and then decide.”

On Bournemouth, the Villa boss added: “Bournemouth are playing very well, they are very competitive, and they demand a lot if we want to beat them. My first objective is to recover the players who played 120 minutes and the emotion we had yesterday. We need to rest and recover for Sunday.

“We will need today evening and tomorrow to rest the players. Bournemouth, really I appreciate the coach and the players. They are pushing, pushing and pushing always. The match like we played there was really difficult.”
